Minimal Fashion Wish List

“I am not rich enough to buy cheap things.”

It is cheaper to buy one good quality item that will last for a long time instead of repurchasing poor quality items multiple times. As I further educate myself about sustainable clothing and fast fashion, I have been compiling a list of items that are good quality and won’t go out of style. As I move towards a more minimal "less is more" philosophy in life, these are 8 items on my wish list to add to my Parisian chic wardrobe. I hope you get some inspiration

1. A leather jacket

The leather jacket on my wish list is the Tatiana Biker Jacket from Danier. It has been sold out for so long, so it seems like it’s on a lot of other people’s wish lists as well! I love this one because of the tailored sleeves and classic fit. I will link a few other options as well.

Leather jackets can be worn in the spring over a more girly outfit to edge it up a little bit, or over a knit sweater in the fall transitioning into winter, depending on your climate. If you are going to invest in a biker jacket, make sure you purchase the best quality that your budget can allow. Faux leather jackets will peel over time, whereas a high quality leather will age well and will hold its value. Even if you are vegan, there are high quality vegan options as well from reputable vegan brands.

2. Expand my Trouser Collection

I am on the hunt for good fitting trousers. Personally, good fitting trousers for me are high-waisted and have a straight leg, however this can vary from person to person. Some good colors to look out for are black, white, tan, and gray, as they are neutral colors and will go with many items in your wardrobe. I eventually would like to add a plaid pair of trousers and a pop of color once I start wearing trousers more.

3. Blazers

I don’t wear these very often, probably because I don’t have very many. I currently have a black one in a ¾ length and a plaid one. I plan on getting a classic fitting black blazer, as well as white and tan. You could throw on a blazer over a basic t shirt and jeans and it will instantly elevate your whole outfit.

I also saw this one by Halogen on the Nordstrom website made of the most gorgeous tweed pattern! It reminds me of something that would come right out of a Chanel catalog.

4. Good Fitting Knitwear

I am on the hunt for good fitting knitwear in a high quality fabric. Cashmere or a soft wool would be ideal, but it can be very expensive. I have some knitwear from brands like American Eagle and H&M, however since the quality is not great I have found myself buying new sweaters every year. Also, the types of sweaters are all over the place. I have some cropped, some mock neck, some turtleneck, v neck, etc.

Long story short, I am hunting for an affordable cashmere turtleneck sweater.

5. White Sneakers Replacement

As someone still in school, I find myself reaching for sneakers most days. I have tried many sneakers over the years and my tried and true best pair are the Nike Air Force Ones. These age really nicely and are very easy to clean. I would like to either repurchase these or try out the Adidas Stan Smith (linked below). I wear white sneakers all day every day, so sometimes these items simply just wear out.

6. White Boots

Okay, hear me out. These white boots are a little “out there”, but I absolutely LOVE them. They would be perfect for spring and fall, and I could probably get away with them in the winter too. I love that not many people have these because it adds a touch of individuality.

8. Short Rain Boots

Is it just me or does anyone else hate wearing tall rain boots? They are so terrible to walk in. I have tall ones from Hunter and I love the look of them, however they are so uncomfortable to walk in. Short ones are also the perfect size to pop into a bag if you need to change once you get inside. I would love to get this short pair from Sam Edelman, however I’m waiting for them to go on sale :P

For a more affordable option, there are also these super cute ones from amazon!

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed reading and got some inspiration for yourself. Have a great rest of your week my fellow fashionistas! ♡

xoxo,
