Okay, so we've all heard that accessories make or break the outfit, right? I agree 100%, even if I can sometimes be too lazy to incorporate them into my outfits. Follow this simple guide for 5 of the must have trending accessories for spring 2020 to add a little bit of spice to your outfits this season.
1. Chunky Gold Hoops
These simple gold hoops instantly make you look more polished and put together. You can find these at local retail stores, or you can support a local small biz and order from Etsy. I purchased these from AniSofia accessories. They are the perfect size and weight, and great quality for the price.
2. Hair Clips
We see the hair clip trend all over social media (bonus points if they're pearls!) You may feel like a little kid at first, but once you learn some ways to style them you will be looking effortlessly chic.
Alternatively, you could opt for a more classic barrette (but I still recommend sticking to the pearls!)
3. Headbands
All Gossip Girl fans are thrilled that Blair's favorite accessory is making a comeback. After all, no outfit was complete without one. There are so many different colors, shapes, textures to choose from, so get your hands on one or two (or ten!)
4. A Neutral Watch
Let me take you back to the days when smartphones weren't a thing and everyone had to carry a timepiece around (the horror.) Even though the practical use for watches is very much finished, they still make a cute accessory! They don't have to break the bank either - you don't have to buy Rolex or Cartier to look chic and expensive.
5. Hair Ribbons
My personal favorite, we have the hair ribbons. They are so easy to style and a super affordable option as well. You can find ribbon at any craft store for a diy look, or you can purchase a hair ribbon from a retail store for a few extra dollars.
